JioFiber OTT apps without STB

Hello,

I might get JioFiber soon. Since I have a decent Android TV, I don't really require their STB. However, I have read in some posts here that some OTTs will require Jio STB. Is that still same?

iirc you need the STB to activate some ott platforms after that you can log in anywhere

I have on query for jio stb:

if i select couple of channels as favourites in jio tv+ live internet tv option, where can i see those favourites ?

But activation is every month if you are not using the STB, so every month you need to start the apps from STB to continue enjoying free subscription.
