So I was trying to root my JIDU6801 but it seems like I was too late to do so. The backup and restore option has been removed, making it impossible to root with existing method. Downgrading was also not an option as new firmware files are now .bin whereas the firmware files on the AF-Customisation page are .img & .sig

So I tried to search for some hidden stuff in their HTML and it seems like they do have some Hidden Pages with quite interesting settings. I am not sure if this is a new observation or if they are any useful but here goes:

Dual WAN: https://192.168.xx.1/#/WAN/DualWan
Download DBG Logs: https://192.168.xx.1/#/Downloads/DbgLogs
WAN VLAN ID: https://192.168.xx.1/#/Wan/Vlan
Basic Network Configuration: https://192.168.xx.1/#/Network/BasicConfiguration24GHz
MLD Configuration: https://192.168.xx.1/#/MldTunnels/MldTunnelsConfiguration
IGMP Proxy Setup(Cannot be modified): https://192.168.xx.1/#/Advanced/IgmpProxySetup

I am interested in the DBG Logs as they seem to be encrypted but I am not sure if any of this can help me root my IDU. I wanted to use my IDU as a NAS to host so if you know any other way to downgrade my router and/or root it, then please let me know.

Thank You!

IDU6601 user here, facing exactly the same problem. seems like the only way to downgrade firmware is through UART hardware access
