Just got MTNL Triband

The guys at MTNL aint very smart(atleast the ones I have met in 3 Triband sections including my local and prabhadevi exchng)Manual Human error is the biggest possibility........I actually have had to explein what each plan shld have in terms of speeds and usage rights.Incredibly they work for MTNL but have no idea why we choose diffrent plans.....for them its all ADSL

I visited MTNL exchange for getting some work done last year and had to go to room that housed DSLAMS, I noticed on their screens that most of the settings "could be" done manually thru a web page.

E.g. If a subscriber was on DSL NU, Web App still allowed sync rates other then 256 kbps. Ideally this should be defined based ONLY on package/plan.

My guess is, their router settings might be "manual".

And it could simply mean a human error to enter a wrong value somewhere.


Yes, that's right. That's why sanke1 is on 2 Mbps NU.

Apporv i m on 849 NU plan dude....even 512 kbps upload is official. u can ask for it as long as ur line supports it u get it.Just make sure u contact rite person of ur xchange
