Good decision. If a person below 18 can do crime which only adults are capable of (e.g.rape), then that person must be treated/considered adult.

the problem is... why stop at 16? what happens if a 15 year old commits a heinous crime? another amendment to lower the age to 15 years?

if someone at 16-18 can understand consequences of a crime then i am sure he is more than capable to give consent for sex.

since even consensual sex between UA is treated as rape in india then does it mean a 17 year boy will be treated as an adult now for that "rape" ?
