So you thing that Beetel modem is the culprit? :eek:

They have given me a Beetel 110BX1 modem.

well the problem cannot be completely connected to the modem... google has been slightly glitchy still. and the same modem worked for me since the last couple of years.

@tekky
where can i get 3.06 firmware ?
THE LATEST MODEM 110bx1 DOES NOT HAVE USB PORT
but the FW is common to 220BX1 and 110BX1.
Posted in Wiki here.
I could give it to you, but you can search Airtel Archives here.

2.Better call AirtelCC. for a replacement.

I tried everything but it does not seem to work. Pidgin just told me this:Lost connection with server:Connection interrupted by other software on your computer.Now which software can it be?

try using official messengers. if they are stable, its a fault with pidgin.as for owned modems, it turns out to be a bad deal in the end. i have my own router. i had to get a new one when the first one got bad. i prefer airtel for modems... and for the iptv set top box. they say i own the STB but they would be responsible for its maintainence till the time i am paying for iptv services. it's too early to say if that's what they are going to do though.

Nope. Official messengers is the problem. WLM keeps logging me out and logging me in again and again every few minutes.My problem is now mainly with WLM and mIRC. Pidgin has not given me the problem all day. So I don't know what it is. As suggested elsewhere, I tried disabling UPnP but that turned out to be a disaster.
