Kung Fu Panda 3 Moves from Christmas 2015 to Original March 2016 Release - ComingSoon.net

In September of 2012, DreamWorks Animation revealed their slate of films through 2016 which featured Kung Fu Panda 3 bowing into theaters in 2016, though it was eventually moved to a December 23, 2015 release date. Now, The Hollywood Reporter brings word this afternoon that DreamWorks Animation has pushed the third film back to its original date of March 18, 2016, moving it away from a showdown with Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

DreamWorks Animation announced today that Kung Fu Panda 3 has been moved up from a March 18, 2016 release date to January 29, 2016. The other films scheduled for the new date are The Finest Hours, The 5th Wave and New Line’s untitled horror film.
