Sick of waiting for Micromax A110

I am all set to buy Lava Iris 501.


Saw the phone at friend's shop and its AWESOME, also the free Hard-back cover makes it impossible to have camera scratched and Doesn't shows name LAVA :victory:

Getting good discount both online and offline, making it Rs.8990/-.
very affordable for this beast, which is little better than Micromax A110.

This device is equally good, has little more battery juice and more sensors than A110.

Is there anyone using Iris 501 here ??

Is LAVA & XOLO the same?

from what i understand xolo is a lava brand. just like Galaxy is a samsung brand.

AFAIK...Intel acquired LAVA. XOLO comes with INTEL processors. Not sure.

lol. if intel had acquired lava, lava would not be selling phones powered by arm technologies. you certainly mistook their partnership for the xolo branded intel processor powered smartphone as an acquisition deal.

also. if you check xolo website. they have xolo branded smartphones with non-intel processors. i too believed that they were using xolo branding for intel processor powered devices alone. but apparently not.

for example this phone is powered by a mediatek processor.

so basically intel promoted the shit out of xolo brand only to find lava misusing that brand for non-intel devices. i can safely say intel would not be very happy about this.

I couldn't see any LAVA(except "INTEL inside") branding on XOLO 900(my friend's) pack or the mobile.

yes thats the confusing thing about Lava and XOLOSome people even imagined that XOLO was marketed by Lava however some say Xolo From Lava Existed before the Intel XOLO.One thing about Iris 501 is its not known in international market and XDA hardly has mention of this model.Can someone post names of this phone forefathers so proper ROM Customized availability can be determined.just posted same thing on only Iris mentioned thread on XDA. will post if i hear anything on either.But One thing is for sure, The Phone looks great and cannot be judged as Cheap if anyone see/uses it.Can't sleep now :Boy Money:

Nvidia made Xolo quad core smartphone in making?

This article talks about Nvidia XOLO possibility.. So I guess XOLO is a Lava brand, but I guess Intel promoted that particular model and not the brand itself?

From what i see....X series has INTEL processors, A series has got LAVA processors:haha:
