Intel makes good Wifi chips. Their range and link speed is very decent/stable. Atleast the ones I have seen with HP Laptops and Windows OS. Performance changes with vendor/OS and the drivers they use.

I doubt they will change since the order page mentions WiFi 6 only for the device nothing specific to intel.
They made a mistake of listing Intel WiFi 6 under legion 5 pro order.
When people got the units it was mediatek and realtek a lot of people requested replacement. They replaced with intel whatever they could, rest they gave 5% cashback.
But as soon as people started requesting replacement. They removed Intel Wifi 6 from the product page and replace with just Wifi 6 .
