the games installed on my rig are:quake 3 (OSP + CPMA)cs 1.6avp2tho all of them are FPSes, i play all genres, tell me the game u wanna play, i will see if i can source it, then we can play.am 100% ready for q3 anytime (unless of coz i am busy, which doesnt make it anytime ). just message me on yahoo IM (himanshupgupta) and i will create/join server.CS 1.6 is ... doesnt matter. i will play if there are ppl playing. fix up a time, lemme know.

hmmmmmmmm, im busy downloadin quake 3 it wilbe done by sunday untill then if anybody wants to plays CS 1.6 then just send me a quick message at abhishek_vij2003 (Yahoo Id).and himanshu how do i setup a server for CS 1.6 adn how do i locate one that is running in CS. Like i want to find any servers r running or not running.

afaik to create a server just start a "new game" from main menu. tell ur ip (from www.showmyip.com) to others and they wud be able to connect.

dunno havent ever created an online server for cs 1.6
created lots for cs 1.5 (tho that had a clear difference in menus for online and lan servers).

woha downloaded quake 3 and its patches but nobody plays it on kawabonka , and my speed is not gud enuff to play on International servers.

ultra vires, they play a mod of quake 3 called quake 3 cpma on kawabonka. It's around 87 MB big and freely downloadable. But I haven't played any mods ever so I don't know whether you need to have the original Q3 to install the mod or the mod is a standalone game. In either case to play on Kawabonka you'd need to get that Q3 cpma mod first

i hav downloaded the mods, and mods aint standalone games, they need there respective games.

Ok! Say how did you download Q3? Through P2P is it? I have tried downloading stuff through p2p but it's painfully slow if I don't get stuck on the "Need more sources" message forever to begin with.

inet use a better p2p... try shareaza, bittorrent, or the good ol irc

Heh ok thanks. I am currently trying out Limewire but it isn't working for me. IRC is Internet Relay Chat. Is it used for P2P too?
