not surprising, Cisco always concentrated more on the commercial networking business, though I was expecting a company like Asus to purchase this division from them.

Since both Belkin and Linksys have competing products, which brand are they gonna kill off?

lol why? it's not like Cisco was doing good things with Linksys? in fact they only tarnished its reputation by loading it with spyware. Belkin on the other hand has a rather decent reputation in the market. and they have confirmed that linksys brand would remain continue to exist. i see it as ibm selling their thinkpad division to lenovo. good things are expected to happen with belkin in control of linksys.

Agreed that their cloud connect thingy was a bad move, but given the crappy hardware Belkin churns out, I simply don't see good things happening.

Lenovo had the same reputation before they acquired IBM PC division.

when it comes to home networking it is the worst match.. both have been lately offering horrible products in this segment one after another :suicide:

The workforce of Linksys has also been acquired by Belkin. If they don't make layoffs the products should be more or less the same.
