linux installation on xp running machine

dear friends can any one guide how to install linux(redhat9.0)from cd rom(3 cds)as i have no idea about linux installation if there are notes or guide pls mail same at [email protected] remember i have an xp running machine the installation will be dual boot thanks in advance.
 
try wubi if you have no idea about linux installation.

unless you have a specific need to install redhat 9 i suggest you install one of the latest distros. say fedora 8 or ubuntu 7.10 or opensuse 10.3these also come with the option of KDE or GNOME and you get them in the form of "Live CD" which you can boot up and check out before installation.WUBI is also looks cool to help try out a distro although i havent tried it myself
 
colinux and/or cygwin? sounds nice? they got an indepth nice wiki too. i guess instead of vmware you may go for qemu (free + source code). else goodbye-windows, it lets you install debian like WUBI from the reboot prompt mode before F8!google 1. colinux2. cygwin3. qemu-windows4. install debian + windows xp/2000/2003/vista
