I don't have separate Premium subscription for Sonyliv. I was checking Sonyliv app by login using mobile number registered with Jio fiber.
You need to start the Sony Liv app on Jio set top box once after recharging with 999 plan. That is when the Premium subscription gets activated. After that you can use the subscription on other devices normally.

I got Jio STB with Rs 1000 deposit. But I am on Rs 699 plan which expires on 30-Jun. I will recharge with Rs 999 and check which OTT apps work.
My Zee5 and Hotstar subscription is expired, and if I get it through Jio, it would be good.
Although doing some maths, it seems taking individual apps annual subscription and staying on Rs 699 plan would be beneficial

iam on 399+200 postpaid plan which gives 30mbps with 14 ott i can confirm that sonyliv discoveryplus and Hotstar are working on other devices if you login with your registered jio fiber no the rest are not working

Can jio Set top box having active subscription work on non jio network? My office has Jio connection and they gave set top box for free. I want to use it at my home which has Tata Play fiber.

Now I recharged with Rs 999 plan.
After going to OTT apps in Jio STB for Zee5, Sony Liv, Hotstar, Voot and Voot Kids; all were having premium plan activated. Live channels from respective apps is working as well from Jio TV+ app. I will check other OTT apps as well.

BTW Apps like Zee5 and Sony Liv work far better when compared with Airtel's DTH STB. These apps loads very slowly on Airtel STB, and navigation also takes lots of time. While on Jio STB, app start time and navigation is quicker.

If all family members became familiar with Live TV from Jio STB, I might stop recharging Airtel DTH :D
