When I say local ISPs I mean ISPs like Alliance, PMPL which as you know are not offered directly but via your local cable operator.
By big players I mean ISPs like Reliance Fiber, Airtel Fiber, etc.

If you are taking a new connection which one will you choose & why ?

Local ISPs depend on area, in my area they suck except one. But big players are generally safe option if you don’t know much about local ISPs. Price used to be a big factor in favour of local ISPs which is gone now after Jio’s new pricing which was matched by Airtel.

always prefer your local isps..
the scenario is disturbed by this shit govt.. you should know normal state level isp or region based isp or non telecom cat a isps can't shell out money like these big ones jio/airtel but u had seen the future they apply full monopoly once they clean the market.. if jio/airtel is gonna give ftth connection all over india govt shud end isp license system.. just wait n watch .. once market is cleaned u will see worst monopoly in broadband sector .. but these fully unlimited data plans or 3.3tb data on all plans are not for longer period .. once the connection ratio is achieved they are gonna bring the cap back..

Do you mean contention ratio?
Can you give us glimpse behind your reasoning for such a dark prophecy?

what are you even trying to say and what govt has done now?

Now more people have access to FTTH its bad? and whats the problem with isp license system? or did you suffered losses because of new jio, airtel plans?

@netuser123 @Saifi2649 you guys liked his post. Can you enlighten us, what he is trying to say?

I think what they're trying to say is that once enough people get onto Jio and Airtel and they get enough marketshare, they will prolly end up increasing the price like what happened with 4G. But hey atleast now we don't have to pay 250 Rs for 1GB data on mobile right? :p
