I'm looking to migrate to Airtel from Tata Indicom, after their ridiculus Fair Usage Policy wherein they terminate service if Fair Usage Policy limit is reached.
Anyway, I wanted to shift from my existing 512 kbps plan to a 2 mbps plan. And I found this.
Broadband Plans- Broadband Tariffs- Internet Connection Provider in India:Airtel
The Freedom 2999 plan. And it looks good to me.
What is the Fair Usage Policy limit on 2 mbps connections anyway? 100 GB? So after 100 GB my connection speed reduces to half?
Their notes say this:
*Applicable only for Residential Segment.
*Installation Charges (Non-Refundable) Rs.500
*First Month Usage Benefit(FMUB)-Charges Rs.500
*First Month Usage Benefit(FMUB) Applicable only in first month of activation, Cannot be carried over.
*Addition free calls to Airtel Local FL Rs.400 and Airtel Local Mobiles Rs.100 in first month of activation. Broadband is defined as an always on Internet Connection with a minimum download speed of 256kbps.
FUP Limit 100GB Speed Post FUP 1Mbps
Please help out. Thanks.
