Looks like Airtel is removing the 299 topup and making all broadband plans unlimited!

I applied for Airtel Xstream fiber a few days back and yesterday i got call from airtel, i told them that their plans are not feasible and if they are offering unlimited data without 299 then i would consider it. I again got a call from the same guy just now and he told me that Airtel have changed their plans and are now offering unlimited data on all plans without paying 299 extra. Now i am thinking about switching to airtel as Jio is not available in my area.

sounds like bullshit. for it to happen so fast. could be region specific. get it in writing (email).

Get a written proof about the offer. It’s not a good idea to always believe the customer care agents. And as for the topup becoming free, I haven’t heard any news about that yet.

heh. the possibility if it happening is real though. and someone here would find it out first. either from customer care. or from the airtel thanks app. or it would be leaked to blogs like tt. and then there would be millions of articles about the latest reliance jio effect.

Nothing as such on Airtel Thanks App - can be region specific to compete.

They have been giving this offer to some new customers if they pay advance for 3 months, only for 3 months after which one needs to pay ₹299. Make sure you’re not getting this and it’s a permanent plan change

I know 2 people who are getting their airtel xstream installation today. By the end of day i should get an idea if this is true or not.
I will only apply when i am sure of their unlimited offer.
