Low budget smart or feature phone

Another low budget device suggestion for a relative.

a) Good Camera - mainly t0 be used to take picture of products & share on whatsapp/email. Previously was using a 5 MP device & camera was average. So atleast equal, if not better.
b) Whatsapp
c) Ability to watch videos

Thats pretty much it is. I do have the Asus Zenfone, Moto E & Xiami Redmi 1s in the radar, but the person is suggesting looking for something in 4k (even lesser if possible ) .

I expect the devices to go on sale immediately through Google Play I mean why would you announce a product in June. Hold the event in September. Only to launch the devices after a couple of weeks later! Sundar had stated at the announcement that he had been using the prototype unit for a few weeks back then so it's not like they did not get enough time to get ready for the launch

Right. We can only hope that Google does not do any Xiaomi and enough units are available on sale immediately and through multiple retailers including offline. This is the segment where offline retailers would be required to be involved.

I guess will register for Redmi 1s. Watch event on 15th and decide. In any case flash sale of redmi will be on 16th. In any case will checkout the karbonn thing in case the above does not work out...

if camera is a strong requirement, there aren't any phones in the price bracket you mentioned other than xiaomi. even moto e camera is beyond crap.
