I am getting ping spikes in games and some disconnections from few weeks now. I raised a service request and the technician changed the yellow fiber cable and a part inside the router (the port where the fiber cable is inserted) and the power went from -28dBm to -26.2dBm and the guy said it's working fine now. The disconnections surely did get fixed but after researching about rx power i came to know that it is still too low. I wanted to know if this is causing the ping spikes, what is a good recieved optical power value and what can i do to fix it?

transmitted power: 2.4 dBm
Received power: -26.6 dBm
Working Voltage: 3264mV
Working Current: 12.112mA
Working Temperature: 60℃

@Severus -27 dBm is the minimum required for the Nokia 2425A but it may depend on which ONT you have.

You cannot fix these issues yourself it has to be done by Airtel. It is caused either by too many splices in the main cable or kinked cables somewhere on the route between the OLT and your ONT/modem.

If you continue to face issues raise a complaint with 121.
