I have a plan of 200mbps in Siliguri,WB, but my upload speeds are too slow. When pinging in airtel's server using ookla speed test i get full 200mbps upload, and except airtel's servers i get below 100mbps upload. While testing with fast.com i get about 80mbps upload. And in cloudfare it is 44 mbps. While download speed is above 200mbps in all tests.
I tried uploading in Google drive and YouTube. i get about only 10 mbps. It doesn't go beyond that.
I contacted the airtel customer support and after 3 calls they sent a technician and tried to fix it, they couldn't locate the problem. They said everything is fine at their end.At the end, they said that in ookla it shows 200mbps so our work is done, they didn't bother to look into the problem more.
So now i am thinking of shifting to jio fiber! Should i ?

how are you connected? via wired/ethernet cable or is it wifi?

As someone else also posted this week, Airtel doesn't prioritize upload in many cases. I'm on 200 plan too, and upload ranges from 100-200 depending on the site.

ISPs have kind of developed this ookla ecosystem to ditch all user complaints regarding ping and speeds. They'll always run tests to their own servers which won't show you whole picture. Hate it honestly.

Now about your issues i guess try raising complaints or even changing to different router model (forum already has posts about this) and check.

Also a lot of websites restrict upload/download speeds like cloud services, and if you're considering file uploads in real life to google drive your hard disk type, number of files, size of files, number of simultaneous uploads matter more i guess.

@TheNuttyNet i did complain multiple times. The technician had taken permission from the head team to change the router .but the router team didn't want to make the router change. They simply said the network is fine. And the guy was literally behaving rude on the phone. The technician understood the problems i was facing but the other teams didn't care at all. I guess the peering is really bad in my city for airtel. My friend has the same speeds.
I think i will go for jio this month. I hope it works smoothly.
