I connected directly to ONT then access 192.168.1.1 . It's a rebranded ZTE Modem it looks like. I'm trying to make it accessible from PFSense and it doesn't seem to work my WAN1 ONT does.

@JB701 If you swap the ONT now, does it work? I am just curious cause for me, they don't see to have enabled any ONT whitelisting. Just wondering if its cause of the dumb ONT and their custom config works only the fancy ONT.

Figured out that one. The router IP isn't actually 192.168.10.1 its 192.168.1.1 🤦. In the back and in manual its written 192.168.10.1. I think its changed by Excitel.

Default login isn't admin/admin its. excitel/exc@123

can you extract its firmware?

So, I will write up a bit on this

I have three ONTs now. The left ZTE one has the option to change Serial No. But even after changing the serial, it gets "Not Authorized" message for some reason. I think its because Excitel might also be using PON MAC Address which is mentioned on portal.

The second one, DBC for some reason Authenticates with OLT but PPPoE Servers don't show up or connect. I tried with PPPoE Scanner but servers aren't showing. This one doesn't have the option for Serial Spoofing unlike ZTE.

The third one is provided by Excitel. This one works ofc and PPPoE Servers work as expected. From the looks it seems to have same board as DBC one, the reason LED is brighter is because of the meshy housing probably.

The PPPoE servers are showing up as expected when connected to this directly.

Originally this had IP 192.168.1.0/24 but I changed it to 192.168.150.1 to avoid conflict. When I connect to the ONT and assign static IP, the WebUI loads:

Interestingly on top right it says "Portuguese" instead of "中文" which is Chinese on most ONTs with similar UI.

@JB701 i guess u are right about pon mac coz this onu don't have a serial number as its not shown if u login to device. Initially when this onu came to my lco it was not working. So excitel field engineer came and someone from backend whitelisted the pon mac address of the onu in excitel olt on remote session. The person didn't see anything from back, he just login to onu and copied pon mac and whitlisted on olt. Despite my profile has different serial number and mac id listed everything worked fine. I got my mac and serial no. changed next day from lco, thinking it may cause some issue in future for other person who will have the actual onu of my serial.
I too tried two dumb onus i have. So i guess excitel uses pon mac along with some other parameter for mac binding. To others who thinks how i know all this, its coz i struggled to get a dumb onu due to excitel and my bad luck.

So, the speeds are significantly better in bridge mode. Yes this is Excitel's server but for raw test without variables it works well.
This is in bridge mode:

With triple NAT, it was failing to get beyond 275Mbps up/down. It could be congestion but I think that at 300Mbps the CPU inside the old ONT was struggling to convert fiber to ethernet and route at the same time. The extra layer of NAT could also have been the culprit.
