With triple NAT, it was failing to get beyond 275Mbps up/down. It could be congestion but I think that at 300Mbps the CPU inside the old ONT was struggling to convert fiber to ethernet and route at the same time. The extra layer of NAT could also have been the culprit.

I have been downloading some totally legal Linux ISOs from my Leaseweb NL Server and it's been going at 35MB/s for 20 minutes.

Which router do you have? And also your dBm power is in which range of onu?

Yup with excitel fiber I am seeing greatly improved speeds to intl servers. Can download at max 125 mbps.
