who paid the bill by the way...:P

No-one... we ate and then ran away :D:D:D (that's a joke, BTW).

@MG - Wrong choice, sitting on the 1st floor. You wont be able to run away without paying the bill here :P (pun intended)

On a serious note, hope there are good updates at the end of the meet with MHA. The forum members are eagerly waiting for updates. We even have had a leaked update of potential launch month mentioned (unofficial) - so hoping we will get more updates on that.

Also, the way ***talk.info website has given the article (India TVish, I feel) , do you/dont you feel there is a need for you to respond to that - maybe even post your response with links here
(for all I know you might be already doing/planning to do that), but just pointing out.

I feel I may have committed a social faux-pas by letting Sushubh pay the bill and not fighting hard enough to take it from him. And then allowing him to refuse me to pay him in full for topping up my Airtel number online (he only took Rs175 out of the 305). And probably boring him half to death by being a bit more dazed and confused (too tired) than usual.

Yes, that is anticipated now, assuming all of the paperwork/financing/etc goes through smoothly. If I come back to India before July/August (may be likely), then it may even be a tad earlier.

I have read and responded to each point. Whether the comment gets approved is another story (but I guess that will show us whether there is some bias there or what).

The problem with this article is that they're picking and choosing passages I've written from anything up to 18 months ago and comparing them to what I've said more lately, without considering the fact that a lot of things have changed between then and now, and will continue to do so up until and after the launch date.

Given Anurag's responses to that article, I think he is a tad annoyed that I keep pointing out factual inaccuracies in some of his articles that he now finds it necessary to call me a fake - joining a small group of other members of the Internets. I'd like to see him launch a project of this magnitude - and just for the added challenge, in a country ranked even lower than India on the world-bank's economic-friendliness scale.

Otherwise I would give him good marks for making people think, but bad marks for basing it on wrong assumptions/facts/figures etc.

I too feel the same - they are quoting posts from 2009 onwards & being on the forum even I feel I can come up with a better article than that saying it is fake, lies etc . As I have mentioned in another thread that its written in a "masala" news channel type of way than a proper thought-provoking one, which is what irritates me. Many members in IBF itself have raised a doubt/concern & they too have a right to do the same. But not as if they are exposing a 50000-crore scam :P

Also the new thread "Telecom Talk is pointing against HaYAI" is invariably becoming another "Doubt" thread. :|

LOL. That's true. It's not like I've taken money from anyone (at least, not money that can't be recovered)... I've never asked any potential customers for money or taken money and never delivered a service.

All I've done is probably take up some of their time by responding to interview requests and evangelizing the service. I'm sure (being TT) they got their share of ad-revenue from anything I've written for them... Booo freaking hoo - I'm sure they benefited more than I did for that with the aforementioned revenue.

If I really wanted to, I could be an a*hole and demand TT for royalties for each time my interview has been viewed (but I'm not, and I won't). In the meantime, let them be skeptical until the time is right for launching.

T.Talk is in the process of dying, the admin posted a notice lately that all the editors have stopped working for the website. I guess, this is how the website is surviving j/k

Telecom Talk team has raised some issues which seems very practical....why not MG go ahead and answer. :)

where author already said,

We would be more than happy if Mathew proves our analysis wrong not by comments by launching its service to end users.

yeap. he pretty much ate nothing. though he had lunch with alcatel folks in the afternoon so i guess he was heavy and tired. i should probably have left him early. but could only drop him to his place by 11. i hope got enough rest tonight for his hectic schedule today and tomorrow! he has some meetings in noida today. then he is off to mumbai. and then he is off to that broadband meet. boy, if i had to do this kind of a schedule once in my lifetime, i would probably go crazy. he did have some snacks and a glass of red wine with lime water. i had no idea it was a combo drink! should try it someday.i checked out the photos again. god his n8 takes much better images compared to my nexus s :D but then n8 has an awesome camera and nexus s has an average camera :D
