Office Lens | Windows Phone Apps+Games Store (United States)

Office Lens trims, enhances and makes pictures of whiteboards and docs readable, and saves them to OneNote.
Office Lens is like having a scanner in your pocket. Never miss notes on whiteboards or blackboards. Always find important documents or business cards. Don't lose receipts or stray sticky notes again!

Scenarios:
- Capture pictures of whiteboards and share your meeting notes with co-workers.
- Make digital copies of your printed documents, business cards or posters. The text will be automatically recognized (using OCR) so you can search and edit it.
- Take pictures of menus, shopping lists, or children's sketches so you never have to worry about forgetting or misplacing them.

Features:
- With Whiteboard mode, Office Lens trims and cleans up glares and shadows.
- With Document mode, Office Lens trims and colors them perfectly.
- Save pictures not only to your camera roll, but directly into OneNote. You can see the images across all your devices.

Note:
Office Lens requires logging in with your Microsoft Account.
Your Microsoft Account must be same as the one registered on your device.

if MS can be generous to provide their apps on rival platform, why can't Google provide some of their apps like Youtube, Hangouts to Windows Phone?
Now WP is at 3rd place in most markets and even at 2nd place in some markets. And WP market share is also increasing slowly. But yet Google is adamant and giving silly reason about market share is less for WP.
Same Google however has official apps for Symbian OS!

But MS has apps for Mac OS, even though Mac OS share is almost same to Windows Phone market share.
Linux is altogether different world. Even if MS release apps for Linux, no Linux user will want to install those.

OS X has a very significant market share in the US market. Apple is I believe in top three laptop sellers in the US market.

Mac Achieves Highest U.S. PC Market Share Ever In Q3 2014 According To IDC | TechCrunch

Apple’s Mac marketshare hit record highs during the third calendar quarter of 2014, according to research firm IDC. Official numbers from the firm’s quarterly PC tracker show that Apple’s Q3 shipments topped 2.34 million Macs moved during the quarter in the U.S., giving it 13.4 percent market share and putting it in third place behind HP and Dell. That’s the best market share Apple has every achieved in the PC market, which for IDC’s purposes, doesn’t even include tablets like the iPad.

Ever see a tech conference? None of the CEOs or even developers or journalists would seen using a Windows laptop. Apple has conquered the market that matters. See any Google presentation. You are likely to see Macbooks or Chromebooks.

You are mentioning Mac OS share in US only. Again US is different world like Linux World :D
Mac OS share for PC/Laptop worldwide would be similar to Windows Phone share world wide.

If you ignore os x today, you are ignoring the most profitable strata of the society globally. Adobe tried doing that few years ago. But had to crawl back after Apple started offering competing software in all segments of the market they were present in. Apple is the preferred platform for sound and graphics people. Windows Phone provide nothing in comparison. You do not lose anything by not catering to this market.
