Microsoft SMS Organizer not showing any notifications for new texts

From about a week stopped getting notifications for any message. Try removing and reinstall.

Today sent multiple messages from my other phone but there is no notification, sound, dot or anything.

It is the default app and has permissions. I have not made any changes recently. Using it from many years now.

Any solution?

Looks like a known bug. Is there any other similar app which categories sms? And very safe?

Same for me on S23+
Might be some recent update broken Notifications.
Earlier I thought it is happening only for OTP, but noticed many Transaction messages are unread and never got notification for those.
Same for personal message as well.

Oh I thought this is another one-off. I've also been using this across the years and across phones, and have always found between certain updates notifications stop working. I thought this is another of the same, would be a shame if it's really dead.

Currently on Nothing phone 3a at Nothing OS 4 (Android 16)

Mezo looks like developed by some niche developer.

A little hesitant to install such important app from not so trusted dev.

I had moved to Google Messages after the issue started to occur, but I had both enabled, so I started getting messages from both. So I reverted to SMS organizer & again messages stopped coming - so yeah..

Yeah someone on reddit mentioned, it works if you don't set it as default app.
So u can set google as default app and turn off it's notifications. you will get notifications on ms msgs but without default app, all functions will not work.
