Daily wage workers won’t come forward to buy SUN DTH, that’s what he trying to say.

Every one , is paying non-refundable Rs.500/- as advance to cable wala's to get connection , and paying at-least Rs.100/- monthly. Why can't they move to DTH then.

FYI : In my native most of the farmers , now having DD Direct + are ready to move to SUN DTH.Their only worry is "SUN May hike the price in future"?! if they cleared with that u can see all village homes having SUN Direct on roof in future (Villages are big market and target by SUN DTH by Rs.75/- announcement ) , becaz they (the villagers) not expecting channels other than Tamil.

The reason for they going for sun dth. 1. Less payment for montly .. only 75rs or most probably 85rs (with tax) whereas now they are paying 100rs also.2. No cable cuts, no problems with powercut. Because in villages there will be powercuts and sometimes they have power wherewas in cable office they dont have.. so they miss it.. but due to DTH they wont loose it. if they have power they can watch it. 3. they just want to just relax and watch tv for few hours after a day of work. so they can enjoy their regional channels. 4 . more importantly they dont like any western channels in villages.5. above all the cost of it is also less for the instrument here in case of sun dth.

In rural Maharashtra, DD direct is very popular; in fact one can find a ad board for microtech inverter near every household having dd direct, in addition to big hoardings for inverters. As you will find the ad for ICICI bank on every house gate with a no-parking message.

Not only in Maharashtra , DD Direct + is very popular in most of the villages in India.

Even , the Tamil people's in Sri Lanka (ie in Eelam - War Zone) DD Direct + is very popular as they are getting SUN , SUN News , Jaya and Podhigai , one of my friend in Kizhinochi told this.
