I'm using a modem provided by BSNL. Till now, i had no problem with it. but of late, it keeps getting disconnected even while downloading files from the internet. By disconnected, i mean, the WAN light starts flickering and internet gets disconnected. and it takes a looong time to get connected agian. Sometimes i have to press the "reset" button at its back, and then it again starts working fine. But l8r, after some time, it again gets disconnected. Somebody help PLEASE !

Mention modem model always.
If you reset the modem properly, ( with power on ) you will not get connected again.
Modem will revert to factory settings.
Check ALL phones / cordless base etc are connected AFTER the ADSL splitter.
In case not possible buy and use additional ADSL splitter only for the phones in different rooms.

i think its got to do with having the phones connected before the splitter as essbebe mentioned ensure that telephones are connected after splitter..

Yeah ! i have the splitters in place already. i knoiw about that interference due to other parallel phones and stuff. But this problem is peculiar. It gets disconnected all of a sudden. and wont get connected for a long time. THen i press the reset button at its back and it'l get connected instantly. and i'm actually at office now. Wil go back home and mention the modem model :-)

Thanks superprash2003 andessbebe for your prompt replies :-)
