If food is bad then customer shud have right to "reject" right after 1 or 2 bites. AND NOT PAY AT ALL.

But he eats like 60-70% and gives excuse that .. food is bad.. it should not be allowed.

lol. you would then have the server standing on your head checking out if you had taken more than 1-2 spoons of the dish. lol. so much stupidity really. they should just make a regulation that customized portions should be allowed. i mean logically it is good. i visit a new expensive restaurant. instead of checking out one or two dish, we can order small portions of 5-6 dishes. we save money, there is no wastage of food. not that restaurants would be happy with such a move.

1 or 2 spoon does not mean exact one or two.

But u get rough idea looking at plate that how much customer has eaten.

Customization yes as I said.. just have small / normal and large versions.

I agree that food should not be wasted but If I am wasting food that I bought from my money. How does it matter if it goes into my tid or is thrown. Should I overeat and Why am I not allowed to order more just to try something new. What about the electricity that is wasted daily. And what about water (water to sabhi waste karte hai). This is just a new low. I regret supporting this modi govt.

It has become a common tactic to make the customer pay more by increasing the minimum quantity ..........all are doing it, from the vegetable vendor to the ISPs.

In the case of cooked food, escess food does go waste because the quantity is too much for 1 person..In Hyderabad many restaurants serve biryani by the kilo only which results in huge wastage. In some places , the quantity is enough for 3 people.
However, this may not be applicable to all dishes.

Wasting food once in a while is fine - because hunger may not be same everyday.

But you should not waste food EVERYDAY just because u have money

Food is a natural resource (or derived from it). And FIRST and FOREMOST necessity for human being.

More the demand for food - higher the cost. May be u can afford higher cost but not others.

Lakhs of people thinking that I bought food with my money DO NOT understand that they are being participant of price rise by UNNECESARILY increasing the demand for food.

So your wastage of food affects others on MICRO level.

But effects are huge.

PS: You here does not mean you but anyone who has habit of wasting food.

You're right, you should support AAP or Congress. Neither of them have ever stolen anything from the people. How dare the BJP government steal from us by trying to stop food wastage? Can't they just commit regular scams and let us order extra chapatis? Herp derp.
