opendns is not a proxy server. it just converts a domain name into the server IPs. so it's safe.

in fact opendns gives you protection from malware like conficker. so its safer than mtnl or any other dns servers.

opendns also has this feature of warning you before you enter any site which has a lot of spyware/virus etc.. opendns provides much more than DNS service.. check out their site.. they have a lot more cool features..

i dont think they warn u but they simply block that site. u cant access it.
