MTNL Broadband: Dlink GLB-802C

Hi,on 27-10-2009 bought D-Link GLB-802C MODEM from Nehru place SMC Intl. please help GLB-802C MODEM gettin hangss every after 12 hours continous running, all lights ON ADSL,USB,LAN,POWER.Is there any isssue MODEM Over heating

I had the same problem with glb-802C, but mine would hang whenever I loaded too many torrents :wall:

1.When the modem hangs
Use
CTRL+ALT+DEL keys to open Task Manager.
2.
( read somewhere that after 12 hour MTNL changes servers. Not sure )
does the modem freeze at the same time every day ?
3.
Check which applications are running/not running.
See processes and CPU usage.
4.
Confirm you have installation CD/manual for GLB802C.
5.

Give correct details of UtStar modems .
Three times mentioned differently
and also linksy's added !

I seed over 100 torrents and whenever I loaded utorrent all data transfer in the router just stopped including page not found errors in the browsers... how do you explain that?

Any who I've dumped that router and gotten myself an iball and I've probably only gone to the admin page about 10 times in the past 4 months.

1- nothing unusual running in task manager.
2- Utorrent 5 torrents downloading single torrent at a time.
3- got D-Link BOX with manuall and CDs packed
4- MTNL Modem UTstar 300R2U [never hanged last 4 years:irock:]
5- Linksys Wireless Router WRT300N

802C IS full of problems. I had made a complaint to D-Link CC about it hanging every day or so.they replied thats its a entry level product and it cannot run 24 / 7 , i told them to give it in written, guess what they did.I had even called dlink office and they confirmed that this model has problems.There is not firmware available for it either.I dont had time to follow this and take so much head ache for a 1500 product so i just dumped the product and instead bought utstar300r2 from mtnl lineman. it runs 24 /7 and only hangs when power goes off. If you want to try search for dlink toll free number on google, its even wrtten on that router packing box and make a complaint and see what they reply.

I have been using D-Link GLB-802c since February 04, 2009. I do not face any of the problems mentioned in this thread so far.
