MTNL Broadband: MTNL wifi security issue

Hi All,This is Alok, I m using mtnl wifi broadband with router tkd-318 since last 15 days. its working fine. I have no problem with this. but the main issue is that its un-secure. I want to use it with proper security. I want to use it as when i stars my system, i always need a password to connect to internet. i have two laptop. Can anybody tell me the process, how can i use this with password protected. Exept of both laptops another person can't access my broadband without os my permission. and without correct password, it never being connected..... waiting for all of yours reply regardsAlok KumarDelhi
 
even i was looking for the same, how does one get a secured wireless connection inside his home. i would like to know the process even it means using it on only one laptop at a time. Is there a thread on this, please let me know

Yup you can configure your wi-fi router with additional security settings. I suggest you use WPA-PSK or WPA2-PSK encryption and put a password for your network. To go further you can even lock the MAC address of the PCs/Laptops so that no one except these MAC addresses will be able to access your network.
I am using D-Link wifi router so dont know the procedure for your tkd-318 router. Pls check up your wifi router manual on how to go about setting up the passwords.
