MTNL Broadband: Ping issues

it's not just u buddy. I pinged the above given address to get an average time of 306 ms. I hope it makes u feel better.

it seems TAta is better than MTNL cuz a few of my frnds have TATA and they tell me they getting a ping of 160 MS:frown:

i dont think dns server play a role here... as you are pinging an ip address directly not a domain name..

true wonder wats the issue. try pinging some regular sites with names google.com or yahoo.com lets compare and see if the lag is there as well. google is 295 and yahoo is 360 for me.

i am using DNS address provided by MTNL but still i am getting such a high ping, where in delhi you from? i am fom rajouri garden exchange...


i am getting the same ping as you are on google and yahoo

It is likely to get higher pings on MTNL due to copper wire technology they use.With Fibre optic networks, ping times are lower.See my speed test
