MTNL Broadband problems from a week in andheri?

I stay at Andheri East, and I can confirm that I am facing four days and counting of continuous downtime. It sure doesnot look like controlled to me. The line is rock stable with Snr 25db/17db. The diagnostic returns "ping primary nameserver" Fail. And "ping yahoo.com" Fail

yes today as per their email, net was down from morning six to eight. internet started just 5mins before 8.looks like there was somekind of hardware failure (called SRP) and they now replaced it.hopefully all shud be back to normal.

SMW4 will not cause your internet to be completely out. If you can't access anything (eg your PPPoE light is off), it'll be a local problem.
