why dont u try via a VPN?

I tried PIA VPN and used Singapore server. Internet does become smooth with zero timeout issues. But I should not have to use VPN in first place.

Secondly, New Shitcatel does not give me 10 Mbps download speeds. Actual speeds on speedtest are between 9 - 9.7 Mbps.

Anyway, today I went there and the ground floor people put me back on SOTL. Speedtest is again 10.3 Mbps and everything is back to normal. I can sacrifice upload speed and slightly higher pings over smooth internet and higher download speed.

hehe. true u shudnt have to use VPN but all issues go away
plus privacy issues are taken care of.

Reliance had similar issues with Facebook and a bunch of other sites that lasted for like 10 days. I am not a heavy user of Facebook but the overall situation forced me to stay on VPN throughout the day. It's not fun but knowing how bad customer support is wrt dealing with technical issues like routing... there is very little most of us can do.

These are my statistics today after going back to SOTL

I went back to my TP-Link TD8816 ADSL modem again. My line statistics after port and modem change are as follows:

Conclusions
1. SOTL port is the solution for all MTNL server related problems.
2. TP-Link VDSL Modem/router TD9980 sucks.
3. TP-Link ADSL Modem TD8816 V8 is the best ADSL modem ever made so far. Costs Between Rs. 800-900 on Amazon and everyone must have one.
4. My line condition is extremely good.

I was on VDSL SOTL 120 series ip. Just today I was shifted to Alcatel servers I guess. As my ip series now 185.58.xx.
But I am getting same speeds as previous 9.5 Mbps. Waiting for timeouts, but none so far.
Advice which servers I should check for timeouts and speed??
Also should I ask for switch back to SOTL or wait for 2 days to see the performance ??

AFAIK 182.56.xxx.xxx IP series is problematic.

ADSL 2+ Annex M can provide download speeds up to 20 Mbps. So opting for VDSL port for 10 Mbps does not make any sense.

My ip series is 182.58.xx.xx to be precise.
There are no timeouts or speed difference. Infact websites are snappy. I checked speeds on different servers on globe , getting around 9 Mbps and above till 10.5 Mbps.

I am using it continuously with file downloads and surfing for last 14 hours. One weird thing is when I see the MTNL logs, it says it has been disconnected and reconnected 10 times in those 14 hours. But I never encountered it while streaming and even downloading 2 big files around 2 go each.
I don't understand, is it problematic or not?
How to find the problem?
I checked bandwidth tester etc, no jitters, packet loss.

Line stats are same only. I live little far from the exchange but had no problems for last 2 years.
