MTNL Delhi MTNL Delhi announces updated ADSL and FTTH plans from January

what are you talking about ? they have 20 mbps ftth plan for 1200 rs with 150gb fup , what more do you want ?

well.... at least with TriB-95 Combo...... they can retain their customers who just want to keep their number....

Before surrendering my connection in May'16....... I asked SDO to shift me to Plan160 but he said the plan is closed.....

I've been a pretty long time customer of MTNL (only because no alternative was available) and recently shifted to a cable ISP because MTNL's customer service is just pathetic in my area. The ADSL goes down at night and they didn't fix it despite multiple complaints. Life's good with the cable ISP for now and I get higher speeds which weren't possible for me on MTNL.
Like the other guy said the 95 plan is good as I can keep my no. with that plan and won't have to make a trip to the exchange to get internet DCed. And yes their FTTH is useless as from what I've noticed they aren't expanding it and its available in very few areas.

I am replying to, the area covered has no relevance to my comment

Because they are not ready to provide same plan to vdsl(min plan is Rs.2490) which has wider coverage and one step back from FTTH.
A reason why Mtnl is going down in Delhi.

Anyone still have MTNL? I use one connection and it is giving attainable rate above 26mbit/1mbit. All other parameters are stable, attentuation is 2db. I think they might be planning to upgrade speed on plans, at least in some locations.

Yes... I still have MTNL broadband at my office..... but I use it to check mail etc....

Yes this "attainable rate" was very much possible when I had it my home 2 years back with ADSL2+ modulation..... although you have very nice attenuation....

But whatever MTNL does now is irrelevant.....

been 4 years or so...1km away is mtnl sanchar haat from my place, but still no sign of ftth here, just spoke with mtnl gm today..
normal adsl speed should be min. 4mbps for plans costing 2k a month and above, 1mbps is too less..

and wondering if should gave hathway a try, guy asking for 3 months minimum connection and the amount is what i pay mtnl in about 45 days..
