MTNL DL speeds reduced recntly?

Hi,

I am subscribed to the 599/- UL plan [512Kbps].

My connection was fine up until about last week [ever since MTNL upgraded the UL speed.] This week the max DL speed that I am getting is about 312 Kbps. Most of the time it hovers around the 256 Kbps mark.

This is way lesser than the 512 Kbps plan I am subscribed to. Some of my friends [in the area] also are experiencing problems. (They are facing a lot of dropouts)

Is this something to do with my area/ my line or is it happening all over Mumbai?

Most recent speed test: 259 Kbps.

yes the same happened to my connection as well.. It was down for 2 days, and when it became active again my dowbload speed has been reduced.

Earlier I was synced at 2050kbps downstream (and got 512kbps speed) but now 288kbps (and getting speed 256kbps).
