@essbebe, thanks for ur concern but i'm in this plan since almost an year, so dont worry about a whopping bill (btw sify is prepaid) & my plan is 150 MB/day & not that weekend plan@sanke1 - ya 150 MB/day is as bad as having a download limit, but what to do... everything comes for a price:)

well, whenever i faced probs with mtnl, i used to complain once to CC and then next to agm/gm , n most of time prob gets solved after then...

I am facing poor connectivity since Tuesday 18th March '08 morning. All day, the ADSL lamp kept flickering and even going off for upto 5 minutes at a time. I lodged a complaint with #1504 and was give docket code: C-716 at 12:30 PM. Nothing all day. The service remained the same ... intermittant. Today, Wednesday morning, it is still intermittant. The problem of ADSL lamp flashing keeps on. Every page I want to see is taking forever to download. I even lodged complaint with MTNL phone service today, since I felt the static on the line may be the issue. I was given docket code: A-703 at 10:05 AM when I phoned the auto service: #2623-2198. The local Lalubhai Tel Exc. lines are not attended as usual. I suppose they are busy putting out the 'fires' which are now a regular occurance. Best wishes.

fires? where? in lallubhai exchange?btw its best u visit exchange and instead of complaining abt triband, file a complaint abt telephone line. When I complain abt telephone on 2xxx2198, i get a call back 90% times in 5mins.

Sorry ... I meant 'fires' as a metaphor.Due to the road work in the area, they have cable faults and they claim this is the cause of poor bandwidth. Even today, after five days I have intermittant ADSL lamp flicker. This is a pain. Now they will claim 'holidays' as the reason. So it goes on.The 'usage' page is not reachable for six days now. So I have to rely on my private meter to judge howmuch I am using. :-)Best wishes.
