Thanks. I checked out this morning but it still showed the old one. When I clicked your link it still showed the old. Then I had the Duh moment. It was showing the cached page.
Now I am one happy guy.

With MTNL Mumbai theres no logic

i have completely given up on MTNL and broadband scenario of India

Yes but look at the column which says wef 1-11-2005:hysterical::hysterical::hysterical:. But at the top it says wef 1-1-2009. My 599 scheme now has 2.5 GB limit.:thumbsup::thumbsup: hmmm I am really not complaining, its quite a jump

@ new plans - good but not good enoughsify gives 256 kbps unltd @ 900 (incl. taxes) + maintenance charge of 150 (in my area) = 1050mtnl = 1000 + taxes = 1124sify provides excellent service in my area, so still not any significant change for meanother provider is airtel - it gives the same plan for 800 + taxes = nearly 900 bucksanother provider is hathway - it gives 256 kbps unltd for 3 months @ 1750 + taxes = nearly 655 per monthanother provider is you telecom - it gives same plan for rs. 775 + taxes = nearly 870 bucksthere are other providers too. also, dont think that the service is bad in these operators. i know people using all of the above operators & they all are happy.so, the only reason to still go for mtnl is the 849 NU plan for 2 mbps or if you are unlucky that you have no other operator in your area & u have to go for mtnlpoint to be noted:the rent for wireless router has also been made 50 bucksso the difference is wired & wireless router right now is only that in wired the deposit is of 500 bucks & in wireless its 800 bucks.

But MTNL's 256kbps UL still a better deal compared to local cablewallah's 256kbps planIn my area(Goregaon E) 2 service providers 1. 5net 2. Pacenet exists.Charges are- 1. 40kbps @ 400 Rs.2. 75 kbps @ 700 Rs.3. 128 kbps @ 1000 Rs.4. 256 kbps @ 1700 Rs. Now tell me will u b angry with mtnl?
