How does your download keep working if you shut down the machine?...even if your modem is on the amount of data transfer is very very neglible....:yahoo::thumbsup:

^ though there wont be any downloads after shutting down, data which was earlier downloaded during the night would be counted since the modem was not reset at 8.

Just shut down the machine and the modem of course at 7:45 AM. Problem solved.

i dont think it works that way either!before i used reboot scripts, sometimes my data was counted from 6:30am onwards too! for some mysterious reason MTNL servers reset themselves at that time, i have seen that in my lo files many times!-rollcage

Yes MTNL reboots their server at 8.00 in the morning...so its switched from free zone to pay zone....so if you are downloading anything after 8 then ur charged .....but if my machine is shut down and my modem is on, i dont thk i will be charged for the entire night downloads.....
