mtnl
Hi,

I have mtnl night plan and i am facing this unusual problem with my modem now. God knows its mtnl or it is the modem. My problem goes like this.

When i power on my computer and modem. The modem power light is on , lan light is on but the adsl light is continiously blinking and pppoe is off. I tried to reset to factory settings reconfigure it again but still the problem persists. As per the mtnl person the problem is with modem he says that my modem is getting hanged.I guess every network device when it is powercycled boots and becomes steady.

Please let me know is this the problem with modem or mtnl. The mtnl line man came and checked the line and it is working fine no problem with the line.

Here are the logs from the http://192.168.1.1 site.

Team help me please.

Did he test the line with another modem?

Mention modem make. Confirm connecting in "DIALUP" bridged mode or "Always On PPP/PPPoE mode. Post details from modem page (ADSL settings) showing snr/attn/Mod selected /line speed .Para two : I think you have selected wrong setting in WAN page. VPI VCI 0 and 32 for MTNL.

keep complaining :whistle:similiar case happened with my modem as well long time back , turned out to be a line problem :)Incidentally I was also told by the linesman that the line was fine , don't beleive them , just keep complaining till the problem is solved

Dude I had exactly the same prob. I think its a line prob cause without doing anything after 2 days my modem is now working fine.
