Can u chg to a 8Mbps plan...... I havnt had a ping problem ever since I switched to 8Mbps since last yr.....

I too had these problems before on 2Mbps....... when MTNL use to switch betwn Sify, Airtel, VSNL etc routing.....

U hav 31dB SNR..... so 8Mbps should do fine..... chk ur SNR stats on ADSL2+ Annex A/M too.....

Here's my current ping to Singapore on 8Mbps......

on ADSL2+ Annex M its around 20....and Annex A around 25.

also my friend playing on SG server was getting 58 ping...i did a tracert for that server (i was getting 350 ping)...the routing is via france...wtf is wrong with MTNL ? -_________-

At this moment switching to 8mbps not feasible...cheapest plan is 1050 + tax..

I currently pay 600 for 768/1mbps/2mbps....with landline ..

Also..noticed a weird thing today...did a ping test to Philippines a few times results were consistent..no jitter...

To Indonesia , you will laugh at the tracert results...to go to indonesia it goes via singapore to Los angeles to osaka japan and then comes to jakarta Indonesia.

To Vietnam also, results were consistent, no jitter...

And finally to the most relevant one : SINGAPORE : Pathetic Pings consistently..with LOADS of jitter only @ singapore.

The problem with routing to singapore is in India itself...i.e. the great tata communications (121.244.47.189) ...The ping is 130 before it reaches chennai itself...

All the above places where i have got low ping and no jitter...the routing has been done via 62.216.147.169 (RELIANCE COMMUNICATIONS).... I seem to have pin pointed the problem now...

My friend using beam has almost same routing to the above server just that tata is not present in between..

Tracing route to 180.240.148.148 over a maximum of 30 hops
