MTNL Mumbai MTNL Throttling speed or just overload of infrastructure

So i had a linesman come over at my place and i had to explain to him the issue.(mtnl.net.in emails are bouncing off) .he did understand the issue but was confused about what SOTL and New Alcatel are. His confusiom did seem genuine as he got a call from his op to check up on someone elses broadband.he asked if that number was ericsson or Alcatel.
I am from North zone of mtnl mapping(byculla) . is there a possibility that SOTL /new alcatel connections dont exist? Or that he isnt well informed?
( either seem hard to believe at the moment)
 
Linesman is not expected to know about Broadband systems......

For example..... An Electrician is not expected to know about a computer..... All he can do is, power it up...... same for linesman....
 
Fuc..... problem started again unable to do work, getting 200 kbs, modi and his digital india campaing :punch: cannot get even 2 mb

Talked to dgms office via phone with the assistant.accepted sotl does exist. Asked me to call up regional officers number as dgm isnt therr but no ones picking up there on regional engineers line :|
 
Okay, I think I am facing Website timeouts. Is there any way to get proof of this other than random browsing? This is just too much, MTNL isn't worth this kind of trouble.
 
Dude did you get your line checked? Till your home. Because others arent complaining about new alcatel i think....hows gaming coming along for you?
 
They checked all lines before they changed the port. I dunno if there is an actual problem or I'm just paranoid. That's why I asked if there is any way to prove this.
The pings are great, to all servers. But I am facing a new issue that I didn't have before the port change. The game disconnects from the server sometimes while changing areas. This can be because of low RAM as well, so I don't wanna jump to conclusions.Downloading is going on fine, and I dunno if the browsing was always like this or I'm paranoid about problems XD
 
Dude pls single out the problem.i dont want to shift to a shittier port.

What do you mean when changing arenas? If its not happening randomly most probably its not the internet fault.
Are you sure that its not the game servers fault?
Timeout doesnt neccesarily mean disconnection.depending on games engine it may lag for 2-3 seconds once in a while.
If you are getting any error upon disconnection from games server pls google the error.
- i am getting website timeouts on ericcson but usually it means lag while gaming and not disconnection
Also i saw that you were actually getting packetloss on dos command Ping to a server.is it still happening? It may be due to line fault( if parallel lines at home or any disturbance in phone calls whatsoever)

Pls new alcatel users 182.59.x.x confirm about itrs stability and performance. Esp ping,disconnections and packet loss.(anything that can affect online gaming)
