Does changing modem cum router, increase stability or speed? or ping? i am not familiar with this?

I have been running many tests with and without splitter. With different bytes sent while ppinging google and bf4 servers. Splitter seem to be one of the issue (willget D-Link splitter from the market tommorrow) another variable could be that almost no lag without splitter because its sunday(a holiday)

Tried using a VPN, issue not present now. But too slow to be a solution.

While searching for filter i read that some models of Panasonic cordless phones have issues with some adsl splitter....could that be the issue that i am facing?( my phone is panasonic as well)

@D5aqoep - can you please tell me wha problems were you facing before you changed your router and what changed when you installed a new one? Right now there are way too many variables for packet loss i am facing. Again it seems to be happening at afternoon hours.

Yes. Port forwarding and upnp are there. Not sure what you mean by Nat2. Consult user manual.

X720 i was just about to order w8968 but i read some reviews that it has dns retention and restart issues....check the one star reviews from certified buyers here

Can't comment on dns retention but I use this and haven't restarted it in months.

Few days back ive narrowed down my timeout issue to basically a line splitter.
If line splitter is attached(regardless of connecting phone line or not) there is 1% packet loss.
If you attach no splitter and put routers adsl line directly into that small dabbi then packet loss is like .30-.40% which is acceptable.
(Confirmed this over multiple variables tests)

I may have to buy a wireless landline phone by reliance or tata in this case.
