anyways we dont have a choice. With 2mbps downstream and 256kbps upstream, 30KBPS is the max that can be uploaded. And share ratios will anyway go for a toss in our case!
there is lot of confusion between KBPS and KBS, i can upload more than 40 kbs ,i.e more than 400kbps, with bsnl 500, i dont know why u people get less upload speeds,i.e only 256

1. Don't mention names if you don't want to get sued.
2. I don't use torrents, but I can tell you this. If the seeders are within India and the leecher too is located here, the upload and download consumes bandwidth within the country, which is available in plenty. It is bandwidth at international gateways which is a bottleneck. The NIXI is supposed to further enable sharing of local bandwidth thereby saving unnecessary round tripping.
After 8 days of relentless effort the speed was finally updated to 2Mbps.
So i got 5 torrents in queue to be downloaded.. I started all of them and got the following averages 8, 3, 12, 8, 2 Kbps respectively the first night.
Shocked I thought it might be due to server overload. Even the next day it was not much exciting.
I'm using Bitcomet 0.88.
Any ideas.
mk76..even i use bitcomet .91 even i got the same problem as urs all u hv to do is download one file at a time only ,keep others in queue and i hv got record download speeds of 200-240kbps do not download all of them simultaneously. i m on bridged mode..
torrent is really better i think might be seeds are busyit to see the same thing many times when i get to ending of file 90% downloadingspeed get redused
If u want max download speed on torrents limit ur uploads to 70-75 % of ur actual upload speed which is about 15-16% less than sync rate..viz if sync rate is 256 Kbps then actual upload speed ~ 215 kbps ; torrent upload speed = 215*70% = 150 kbps
