hmm....i even tried utorrent.utorrent also fails the test of whether the port is forwarded correctly or not.and it gave an error in that test too.at first, i had forwarded the utorrent port in both, the adsl modem and the Linksys wifi router.then i removed the port forwards in the adsl modem and only kept them in the wifi router.then i removed them from the wifi router and only kept them in the adsl modem.in each of these scenarios, the test of port forward thru the utorrent speed guide fails.this is really getting ridiculous....i can neither provide telnet access on the same lan to the router and neither can i ever forward ports to this router.there has to be something wrong with this or linksys definitely have to be aware of this prob with the wrt54gc coz i havent read anyone mentioning that they were able to successfully forward ports to this router.do u think reflashing the firmware is worth a try or will it permanently brick my router? EDIT: I bought the wrt54gc v2 linksys router off ebay for 2500 (including all taxes and shipping costs) almost a month back.i just now emailed the seller.maybe he might now the specific prob with this router since he must have sold this to other ppl too.coz im out of ideas...if the modem is turned off, the zonealarm firewall is shutdown but still im unable to access the routers settings thru telnet means something seriously wrong with this router.
