ive tried the auto config-dhcp mode as well as the pppoe mode on the linksys router, still get nat errors.cyberwiz said:1) WHat is the mode that the Linksys in now operating on?
yup, it is 192.168.1.1cyberwiz said:2) What is the gateway assigned in lan card TCP/IP properties ?..i hope its 192.168.1.1
which ever device is in pppoe mode, its local ip becomes the gateway of the pc.
currently, the adsl modem is in pppoe mode, so i use its local ip as the gateway.
this cant be possible coz ive never got any nat errors on azureus with the adsl modem connected directly to the pc (without a wifi network) or when connected in bridged mode, when in a wifi network.cyberwiz said:port forwarding has not been done correctly on the D-Link
cyberwiz said:the linksys is also natting which needs to be turned offhow do i turn off nat in the wrt54gc?
i searched for it in its manual and also went thru each page in its settings in detail but never cud find such an option
although i did find the same when i enabled pppoe mode in the adsl modem which has NAT on.
furthermore, i did disable UPnP too in the linksys router and also enabled DMZ and gave my PCs lan ip as the host address, still the nat error exists.
the same ip ive given for the port forwarding ip, in the wifi routers settings.
i dont know why but the router doesnt "like" the adsl modem to be in any other mode, other than the bridged mode
i guess, this wud be my last alternative nowcyberwiz said:BTW have u tried a different torrent client with this setup?.
utorrent might work well but if a nat prob exists in my wifi setup, how wud using different torrent clients solve it.
i will still email linksys support about this port forwarding prob as well as how to enable telnet in my wifi router.
