abt part 1)i got 4ft ft tel wire for abt 15Rs. u get it at any electric shop. splitter u can find at computer shop for 70-75 Rs.abt part 2)search forum, its already there.

You will find the LAN cable at lamington Rd, it comes in predetermined lengths. if these lengths don't suit you then some shops actually can make it for you on the spot. All it requires is the length of CAT 5 wire plus two RJ45 connectors to be crimped to the wire ends. If you know a friendly h/w engineer perhaps, he can fabricate one for you on the cheap :)

ive hear that hardly any splitter work .....only 1 line is activated @ once and the other gets dead is it true ?can u tellme which brand shud i go for ?

@deep_nxMost all splitters are ofcourse MADE IN CHINA at lamington RdBest bet are splitters that came with Branded modems, like D-Link and even UTStar,or other known brands(but you can't buy a new modem just for the splitter)If the splitter is in the range of Rs150 and it comes in a decent cardboard pack;I guess it will workThose that come in small Zip Pouches with stupid Chinese to English translations are crapAlso everyone wants to sell you a crappy Rs60 Splitter for Rs150 so the price is not the best way to decide the quality :(
