Just reset your modem by pressing reset switch. Follow the N.B. part of that instruction.
I tried resetting the modem as instructed, but then ALL LEDs of the Modem came alive and I had to get it replaced.

Hello members,I am a BSNL Broadband user from Orissa. I have the Type -I Siemens C2110 modem. As per the istructions given by "mrbgupta", I upgraded my modem firmware. Prior to the upgradation, I was using my modem in bridged/dialup mode. I have 2 reasons, why I prefer this bridged mode. 1. Sometimes, suddenly the broadband connection of our exchange fails. Then I can use the "bbtest" login to verify whether there is some problem at the server/exchange end. (There is no point in asking the exchange people in case of any problems, as they themselves call ME and ask whether there are any problems with broadband). I am the unofficial and voluntary technical troubleshooter at the local exchange (related to computers and broadband).2. I download files from sites like link-removed. As you know, they block/limit downloads for free users. Using the bridged mode, I can easily disconnect and reconnect to get a new IP and continue download and avoid the restrictions. Yes I can disconnect and reconnect by either switching OFF the modem and then switching it ON again, or I can Disconnect and then Reconnect through the modem management interface using my browser, but both take a long time to complete. And I am NOT comfortable with the idea of connecting to the net without my knowledge.I want to use the bridge mode so that I can create 2 different connections and use them as per my requirements/choice.Since there is no way to downgrade the firmware of my modem, is it possible to use bridged mode?? I tried a few times but failed. I cannot ask the exchange people to replace my modem as then they will face technical problems when they give this upgraded modem to somebody else. Please help.Sorry for the long letter, but I need some guidance urgently.Thank You.Lalit Kumar BarikSambalpur Telecom CircleBargarh ExchangeOrissa State

In a single modem , and with one telephone number, connection, you cannot enter two different accounts of the same ISP.( broadband) and use two programmed dialers.

say 0_35.. eager beaver.....PW.. 12345.....TELEPHONE ......24419876 example
......0_35.. essbebe...........PW.. 67890.....Telephone.........24761234 example
I am using a single modem to connect to Airtel/Dataone ( BSNL), but have to change the Rj11 cable from the respective splitter to the modem ( settings for 0_35 AND 1_32)
Para two :
In old Dialup 56K of sancharnet this was possible in the Dialer from any computer/anywhere.
1 MB download will take min 4 minutes !

Para three : Same NETONE (Dial 172222 )the particular telephone LINE can be connected ,and your ID is your telephone number .Broadband is almost same like this: called port binding.

When I create a Network Connection (through Start -> All Programs -> Accessories -> Communications -> New Connection Wizard or Internet Explorer -> Tools -> Internet Options -> Connections -> Setup), I specify the Type of Connection, ISP Name, User Name and Password. I can create 2 connections by changing the ISP name (which actually is just the Connection name) and give different username/password (one for my actual username/password and another for bbtest/password). Then I double click on the icons on desktop to connect and disconnect. I want a similar setup.

I don't get you here either.

Still waiting for replies and suggestions.

please send me bbtest password . what is the advantage if you use bbtest connection for internet usage? please tell me.

Yeah, whats the password for the bbtest login. The CC executive had ocne told me the id, pw for checking my connection but I've forgot. The password had 'mp' in it (mulitplay)

The password for bbtest login is "bsnlmp" (without quotes). Earlier one could login as bbtest and open "bsnl.co.in" site only. But nowadays, even that site is not opening while using bbtest login. There is NO advantage of bbtest login. It is only used to check if broadband connection is available. Also if you are unable to connect with your normal userid & password, then one could use this special login just to make sure that the problem lies at the server end. Lalit Kumar BarikOrissa
