My adventure with Reliance and the Resolving Host

Doubt anything was fixed.... Sounds like you called at the end of some schmucks shift and he wanted to get rid of you quick :D

Anyway, do report back tommorrow and let us know if the folks running this joke of an ISP aren't entirely full of shit.

Edit: Just called Reliance Customer Care line for shits and giggles. Same story, BMC fibercut.... No permission, yadda yadda yadda - have decided to once again request a callback from their technical team, but going by past experience, I know what chances are of that happening - Babaji ki thullu! :D

Siddharth you r right:(....NO internet today as well and I am truly shocked.... lady I spoke to today said fiber cut and nothing fixed! I was lied to blatantly. I have received no call backs in these 15 days..... they r still asking for my number, which should have been in the system as I have given it to them many times plus it is the same number as my subscription. Really wish I could speak to Reliance big wigs for this poor service.

Welcome to the club, mate - prepare for a long, long wait as I have since July 30th. In fact, if you have the luxury of other ISP's in the area, I highly suggest you switch to them now because they haven't done a thing in my case since the past two months. If you've already paid or have been asked to pay, call up the Appellate Authority, (it should be mentioned earlier on in this thread) or drop them an e-mail.

In the meantime, try to to determine if the others in your building are also without internet (guesses are they will be). Engage the services of Akosha (I paid 200 bucks to get their Platinum service because why not, you can do so if you like because I think they're fighting for a good cause) and let them loose on these guys. The more people harass them, the more they'll squirm and we'll atleast get a straight answer out of them.

I'll be calling a meeting at my local society this weekend or the next, depending on everyone's assent and discussing the possibilities of sending a legal notice to the ISP on behalf of the 200 or so tenants. Alternatively, will also be looking at asking other ISP's what would be required for our building to be included in their coverage (considering they're able to service the building next to ours but claim that ours, a landmark in the area, is not in their service area).
