My BSNL Fiber LCO is not accepting Syrotech 1110 WDONT Modem, ask me to purchase Alphion Modem.

I applied for a new Bsnl fiber connection in Chennai. 20 days after applying they came for wiring today, I already purchased Syrotech 1110 WDONT, now the LCO says that it won't support Bsnl fiber, and asking me to purchase Alphion Modem or else he asks me to cancel the Bsnl Fiber.connection.
He asks me to purchase Alphion Modem.

Is there any restriction in Bsnl to use Syrotech 1110 WDONT modem?
where I can check the terms regarding purchasing modem outside from BSNL website?


LCO says Purchase Alphion Modem or ask me to cancel the connection.

Depends on the OLT, if it's an Alphion OLT, I think there's some compatibility issue and it supports only an Alphion ONT. Again not 100% sure, but I remember reading it somewhere.

Also, the LCO might want to avoid any configuration headaches and things like that.

Yes, i think. The LCO may use Alphion OLT, it'll not be supported by other ONT.

Okay. I was asked to pay 2500 as well. But, they said it was for installation and modem. Basically, the same price.

Oh’ I will buy it as well if it’s a white modem (picture attached) my current ONT only supports data and not voice.

I'm not sure whether they have a white colored modem or not.
They showed a black modem to me.
