My Family TV: Exploring Protection Plans

Hello Peeps,

I'm on a bit tight budget and considering buying a realme 4K android tv, since I've kids at home. I'm but worried about the tv getting damaged. There are bunch of protection plans out there like acko, onsite, servify etc. But my buddy recommended servify and I'd love to hear your thoughts too.

I don't think any insurance or protection plan will cover damages if OP's kids throw something at the screen and it gets damaged. They might cover accidental water damage or voltage surge related damages.

What issues are covered under this Plan?

Warranty and accidental and liquid damage ( ADLD)

Any manufacturing defects (Defects within the warranty period are not included)
Accidental Damage (Resulting in Functionality Issue)
Liquid Damage (Resulting in Functionality Issue)
Damage due to voltage fluctuation

Can a kid intentionally breaking a TV be classified as an 'accident'? Or maybe you can claim the kid itself was an accident.

The Jeeves guy who came for installation and who briefed me about this warranty extension pack gave this very example as accidental damage.

The question is can we really trust flipkart in case of an accidental damage? I have personally lost faith in this company and no matter how hard they try to sell these schemes, I am pretty sure they will come up with 1000 different reasons to deny your claim.
