But Galaxy S2 has good battery life as compared to others in that league of phones.

@ Samm.....

Yeah thats right, but i can still use it on the weekends. And i can use it to watch movies in wider screen while travelling. I have to travel a lot. Out of 3-3.5 hrs of daily travel, i spend 1.5 hrs in a cosy car. In fact, i can xplore its features around in that time.

Even further, i can use Tapatalk to stay connected with this forum from my workplace. In a 9 hour period, i dont think anybody works continuously for 9 hours. If it costs u an extra hour, then also, u wud take breaks in between.

Any one Using

Nexus-One and /or Nexus-S (current Nexus-s battery 1500 mAh)
bought a good spare battery?:cool4:

Nexus-S lasts only 5 hours if I constanly use (mostly sitting in the train say starting from 6 pm (leaving Chennai or Hyd) -will not last beyond midnight!) ( I need it till 1.45am)

1.Twitter -Read the rolling tweets of 300 people or so I follow in finance world & open link browser+charts

2.Google Finance APP.(live update from BATS exchange)

3.Yahoo Finance 5 day intra day chart (browser)

4.Reuters+ Bloomberg APP for news and data(delayed)

5.My broker trading APP with live charts etc.(for changing and making fresh trades)

In between train stations -no use wasting battery by keeping the screen on. 10 minutes before +sation halt+10 min after station-signal good and workable.
If Iam sick of watching my loosing portofolio and just listen to music while sleeping - can last whole light even.:Wait:

MY samsung i7500 :Use it to read morning news and listening SKY FM/Online radio while commuting about 45 Minutes,In day it keep polling gmail for mail, which I check say 5 times, Commute 1 Hour Music and reading in evening , COme home and battery is aorund 20-25 %, Heavy Internet use in evening along with music, Exhausted at around 9 PM Have to recharge if I want alarm to sound in morning.Keep in Mind that I use only Edge, If I use 3G its drained WAY FASTER and also I have noticed Jango uses less batterty than SKY or .977 Hitz.so whats your use daily ?

Surely the battery life varies from phone to phone. My Galaxy S gives me one and half day backup. Ofcourse I dont make calls on that, just music, FM, videos (youtube) , lots of Twitter/fb/Gmail. Its close to an year old and gives good battery backup!

I wonder if you can get hands on 1800 mAh In India.let alone 3800... specially for my phone, te battery is hard to find....

Thanks Manu for the link. Looks like available in Hong Kong. Let me look seriously.
I posted here wondering any one in our blog got a spare battery thro Indian ebay sellers.

The problem in Android is -it is a fragmented market (unlike Apple iPhone) with so many manufactures will all kind of shapes and sizes.

I use 3G mostly and my use is around 100mb daily on average. If I tether to my notebook will go easily 200-350mb.
I dont make or receive calls/sms in Android. (when I call 1800 -I use android!)
Mostly Twitter, Gmail(4 a/c's-popular/family/bank+brokers/Company name) & yahoo mail APP (3 a/c ) My hotmail gets forwarded to gmail.I do have AG Indian Newspapers free.I check occasionally sports news+ eCONonimic Times.

Music some times. I have Winamp+Shoutcast radio. I listen to skyfm (country western/jazz/80's/Mariachi/salsa/merengue )Arabic stations,Classical Beethoven like that.
Even in GPRS sim (airtel) ,you can listen stations that broadcasts in 24/46/64 kbps .After 96/128kbps it will intermittently stop& buffer.
while in front of the computer ,phone is used to check twitter-links+mail only.

Only when steeping out/travel ,it becomes full fledged music,browsing/ trading app. ( notebook is there but this is handy)
I need to work on a spare battery -Also in the look for quality 7" Android tablet.(wifi+ 3G version)

by default phone memory. some apps would allow moving to SD. other's wont. google goggles should work on it :| it is not that high end of an app.
